Hello.

My advice is - As a new seller you must sell CHEAP until you have built up some feedback.
Buyers here are VERY VERY Cautious, and need real bargains before they will bid
Also can you buy a few things to gain a few feedback?
I suggest that you reduce the prices of those you have listed, then list more stamps at very low prices, and then WAIT.
I am finding sales of some of my items which have been listed for over a year.

I wish you the Best of Luck - Don't give up yet

bonjour sibernik,

i just had a look at your site and i don't think your prices are too out of line at around 1/3 of scott catalog. however, you could use some help with your english so the translators will function correctly when the fish is utilized. and don't give up, i go for months sometime without a sale, and i have been here for 7 years. but i am retired and philately is my hobby. but i have made money. good luck and un bonne dimanche a vous.

amities,

Rita: Your items are all high end material and you are looking for one bidder in a thousand.This is very much a buyer stamp auction site and if you lower your prices to 10-20% of catalogue that is what you will get because there just is not the traffic on this site to sell such material.I have been trying to sell a couple of FSAT first issues for over two years and even lately reduced the prices to about 15% of catalogue and have not drawn flies.On the buying side I have not bought a thing in 6 months.I have an advanced Churchill Collection and there has been nothing there but the most common material imaginable..........how many Great Britain Churchill Centenary used singles can the section bear.......every British stamp store must have a dust bin full of them but they are religiously listed week after week.
Always have to look to the future and hope for a turn up in the selling and buying prospects in the Fall.Cheers!

bonjour nanook of the great white north,

we live in times different for philatelic collectors. it would seem the young ones look to topical sets of colorful animals, action figures, cartoons, and such. only we old farts collect the really important material and know its value. i, myself, collect classic france and colonies, trial color proofs, deluxe sheets, and etc. it also is very colorful and great works of engraved art, but they maintain good catalog value thoughout the years. some british colonies are the same, some are not. the FSAT should sell well here at those prices. i have a very complete collection of them. it is one of my favorites. i wish you continued luck on delcampe and others too. perhaps when the economies of the world are no longer focused on feeding families and buying gas, we can then again return to our hobbies and smile again. :yes:

bonsoir rita,
english, i have heard, is one of the hardest languages to master but the most to have fun with. un bonne WE a vous mon ami.

amities,
cajunsr.
:D

p.s.- your first lesson (cajun has a minor college degree and will help anytime.):

inprove = improve
chipper = cheaper

as i see your writing, most of your mistakes are spelling and grammatical. no big thing. perhaps some night school courses can help. my daughter in law is filipino and must pass her u.s. citizenship test. she may have to do the same. :znaika: ah, but the reward to her is the goal. good luck to you. by the by, i make misteaks all the time too. :gna:
